From the beginning

Our Story

We spend a lifetime caring for our skin, but the scalp that grows our hair rarely gets the same attention. Our founder, Sophia Serrano, MPAS, PA-C, saw the gap during her years in medicine. Medicine treats disease and beauty treats hair, and the scalp gets left in between. She built The Head Spa to give the scalp regular professional care, the way a dental hygienist does for your teeth.

Every visit, head spa or blowout, starts with your scalp. You see it up close on screen before anything touches it. What we find there shapes the rest of your visit, from your treatment to the products chosen for your hair. One of our master-trained stylists or scalp therapists takes care of you from start to finish.
