STILL HAVE QUESTIONS?

Here are the ones we get most often. For the full list, visit our FAQ page.

Head Spa

  • What is a head spa?

A head spa is a clinical scalp and hair treatment that combines deep cleansing, exfoliation, hydration, and therapeutic massage. Every session at The Head Spa starts with a Microscopic Scalp-Skin Screen, so your therapist builds the protocol around what your scalp actually needs that day. Sessions run from 20 minutes to two hours depending on the tier you book.

  • How much does a head spa cost?

Sessions range from $79 to $289. Pearl is $79 for 20 minutes, Sapphire is $149 for 50 minutes, Emerald is $209 for 80 minutes, and Diamond is $289 for 120 minutes with a luxury blowout included. Members save on services and retail.

  • Which tier should I start with?

Most first-time clients start with Sapphire ($149, 50 min). It gives your therapist enough time to run the full Microscopic Scalp-Skin Screen, walk you through what the magnification shows, and build your home care plan before you leave. If you want to try the service first, Pearl ($79, 20 min) is a good entry point.

  • How often should I come in?

Your therapist sets the schedule from your screen results. As a general guide: every 2 to 4 weeks for active inflammation or shedding, every 4 weeks for corrective work, and every 6 to 8 weeks for long-term follicular maintenance. Results build with consistency. Our post on the benefits of a head spa explains why.

  • Can a head spa help with thinning or hair loss?

Head spa therapy is not a medical treatment for hair loss, but it works on the scalp environment your follicles depend on. Regular sessions reduce microinflammation, clear buildup, and support circulation, all of which help follicles function better over time. More detail here: Do Head Spas Help with Hair Loss?

Blowout

  • How much is a blowout, and how long does it take?

Luxury blowouts start at $55 and most take 45 minutes to an hour. Extensions, textured hair, or extra-long hair may need more time, priced at $20 per 15 minutes.

  • How long will my blowout last?

Most clients get two to four days. A silk or satin pillowcase, dry conditions, and skipping heavy product between visits all stretch the hold. Full guide: How Long Does a Blowout Last?

  • What makes your blowouts different from a blowout bar?

Every appointment opens with a complimentary Microscopic Scalp-Skin Screen, a $99 value. Your stylist reads the results, then chooses from four professional lines (Kerastase, Milbon, Color Wow, and Moroccanoil) based on what your hair needs. All of our stylists are trained Clinical Scalp Therapists working from a 60-point blowout protocol. Read the full breakdown in What Is a Blowout?

  • Can I add a head spa treatment to my blowout?

Yes. Book the Diamond head spa tier, which includes a luxury blowout, or add enhancements to a standalone blowout. Popular pairings are the Kerastase Fusio Repair($50) and an Extended Scalp Tension Massage($15 for 10 minutes).

Add-ons and Upgrades

  • What add-ons can I book?

You can customize any session with enhancements: Pressure Point Massage ($15), Customized Scalp Serum ($15), Youthful Lip Therapy ($15), Gua Sha Facial Lifting($30), Hot Stone Therapy ($30), Ultra Hydration Facial Mask ($40), Red Carpet Non-Peel Chem Glow($60), and the Exosome-Salmon Facial($105).

  • When do I choose my add-ons?

You pick them during booking, right after your base service. If you change your mind, tell your therapist before the session starts and they will work it in where the timing allows. You can layer two or three in one visit. A common head spa pairing is Gua Sha Facial Lifting with Hot Stone Therapy.

  • What is the Kerastase Fusio Repair?

A professional-strength custom treatment with 36 targeted combinations. Your therapist picks the formula from your scalp screen results and the condition of your strands, then repairs damage, strengthens fiber, and smooths the cuticle in a single session. It is our number one add-on. More on the Kerastase Fusio-Dose page.

  • Are add-ons included in my membership?

Your membership covers your base head spa service. Add-ons are priced separately, but every tier comes with a monthly add-on credit from $10 to $45 that you can apply to any enhancement. You also earn bonus credits when you book additional head spa services in the same month. See the Memberships page for the full breakdown.
